Lexus GX470 - Front Winch Bumper

Really nice, well thought out designed bumper solution for the GX470. Pretty easy install, I will say that at least on my 2003 GX, you will need to trim a little slot into the winch plate to accommodate what I believe is a transmission cooler line on the driver side to allow the bumper to seat all the way up on the factory bumper mounts. I used 2K Raptor Liner with the included spray gun that comes in the kit to great results. Spend plenty of time cleaning the shop oil off with brake cleaner/prepsall and be sure to abraid all surfaces before priming with a quality etching primer. If you get the bull bar you will need to cut more material out of the OEM bumper caps where the bars meet it to allow proper clearance for the steel bumper to fit. properly. Overall excellent product, fast delivery, and very competitive pricing. Looking forward to future items!

A few friends with jeeps recommended Goliath and I liked the design for the GX470. Well made bumper at a reasonable price. It was also nice to support a local to me shop.

I had purchased a competitors bumper and waited for over a year to get it. The bumper never came (I am glad). I found the Goliath bumper and loved the look and approach angles, so I purchased it. The bumper is fantastic, no more bumper tire rubbing on my 35", and I was able to mount a Badlands 12000 winch (very solid bumper). I did have to relocate the controller box, but that was not hard. This is a a great produce and Goliath was excellent on getting the bumper shipped out, answering my call and questions. I will be buying more from this vendor.

I'm so impressed with both the design and quality of their products. Meeting the owners and understanding where the bumper came from made it an awesome purchase. Supporting a local Florida company was even better. Their bumper drastically improves the front end approach angle and clearance around the wheels. I can't recommend this bumper enough to anyone who's in the market for an upgrade.

The bumper is really well designed, it was very easy to install once the proper amount of old bumper is trimmed. To that note, Goliath could do a better job of taking pictures with a tape measurer at different sections of the bumper so you have a guideline to start with.

I think the bumper has two flaws that if fixed would make it perfect.

1. It doesn't extend all the way past the radiator. I know they sell a plate for that, but really the bumper should fully cover it.

2. There are two large holes at the front that easily allow objects to penetrate the bumper and potentially damage the radiator. I have filled these holes with a metal mesh, but the bumper should have them filled already in my opinion.

Overall for the price it is hard to beat, I plan on fashioning a simple radiator fill plate from some aluminum sheet metal, and probably filling more holes with mesh to protect from debris.
